Visa Requirements for Incoming International Students
Students who are non-permanent residents of the U.S. are required by Homeland Security to obtain a visa, a process that involves several steps. If you are offered admission, you must complete each step prior to enrolling in your program of study. Upon admission The Office of International Education will process your Certificate of Eligibility for an F-1 visa, Form I-20, and send it to you by courier along with information about the process of obtaining a visa. Please note: Students should not enter the United States as a “tourist” during the time of their program because B-1/B-2 (WB/WT) tourist status does not authorize study.
